Powys CastlePosted by P J W Miller (Chase Terrace, United Kingdom) on 5 November 2009 in Architecture and Portfolio. From a recent trip. When I put this on last night, it looked crisp, colourful and clear through my lcd monitor, when I got to work this morning and looked again it appeared a bit dull but this was through my work crt monitor. Let me know your opinion........ Me and my camera(s) will travel both locally and as far as is physically allowable within the constraints of this our local celestial body and provide images from a purely subjective point of view for your evaluation and commentation . Locally based near Lichfield If you have the time I would appreciate constructive comments please and in return for your honesty my comments on your work will also be constructive. A brief message to all the brothers and sisters of AM3 and other photographic blog sites. It is a great feeling to get so many warm and constructive comments from all of you all over the world , it is good to be able to communicate in a friendly manner with no hint of racism, sexism or other ism's. It is good to be able to see what lies in your part of the world and to be able to give constructive comments on your work.

Paco Díaz from Palma de Mallorca, SpainA beautiful place and a very good light in the photo. 5 Nov 2009 6:36am Michael from Shell village, United KingdomVery stately it is too, and the HDR looks good making it a lovely shot. 5 Nov 2009 10:33am grouser from Ludlow, United KingdomGreat place isn't it? I took a picture from just about the same viewpoint when I was there in Autumn a few years ago. The topiarised Yews or 'Twmpa' are something special. Nice delicate treatment. 5 Nov 2009 11:01am shoti from Everywhere in the, Philippinesa lovely image on its own, I like the soft contrast, as with most of your images. though personally I'd put a little more sharpness on this to increase the local contrast 5 Nov 2009 12:05pm zOOm from Paris, FrancePowerful HDR. Always stunning ! It reveals stones and shapes. A beautiful construction. 5 Nov 2009 12:21pm Earnest from Oklahoma, United StatesI have the same problems when viewing my photos that one day look great and the next, I wonder just why I decided to post such a fuzzy photo. I'm sure that the original that you have is beautifully crisp and this one is good but has suffered from a little of the compression and uploading degradation that happens... it's to be expected when that huge photo you have is compressed to 130kbytes... That said, it's a five star work of art, Peter! Excellent HDR processing. 5 Nov 2009 1:25pm Curly from South Shields, United KingdomLooks just fine on my lcd screen, the two people give a sense of scale and the detail exposed below them is incredible. 5 Nov 2009 1:31pm john4jack from Corvallis, Oregon, United StatesLove your inclusion of the people. 5 Nov 2009 2:36pm Eric Cousineau from Sherwood Park, CanadaBeautiful HDR work Peter! Perfect! 9 Nov 2009 6:02am Mike from Lichfield, United KingdomIt looks fine to me. You don't want the colours too vivid anyway on such a dull day. I've always found the architecture of this place a little weird. Nicely captured though. 9 Nov 2009 7:14am Tammy Warren-Cricket from United StatesHDR is something I've never played with. I do enjoy viewing your images. This one as a very balanced symmetry. I like it. 9 Nov 2009 4:57pm Pavan Kaul from Mumbai, IndiaFuzzy or not I like the composition, sky and the colors..!! 10 Nov 2009 6:16am |
